Rising
For those of you who are
early risers log this into your morning
schedule, for those of you who are not early
risers, set your alarm clock, you don't want to
miss this. Friday, January 18th tune
into FOX News Rising (WCCB-TV Fox 18)
to see SwampDaWamp appear & perform on the top
rated morning show. The Carolina's favorite
wild man, WILSON has invited the Swampers in to
perform a few tunes and talk about some of their
exciting upcoming events. Unfortunately, we do
not know the exact time it will air Friday
morning, sometime between 6am and 8am. Don't

Off With A Bang, A SOLD OUT Show with David
Allan Coe
2008 has
definitely started off with a bang for
SwampDaWamp! Saturday, January 5th the band
was thrilled to perform for a SOLD OUT crowd of
1000+ at the famed Cattle Annie's in Lynchburg,
VA. It was the Swampers first show as the
opening act for country / rock legend David
Allan Coe. What a rockin' night, it was a
blast! Many, many thanks to all our die hard
Swamp Monsters who made the road trip, it was
great seeing you. Your undying support
continues to humble & amaze us, Swamp Monsters
ROCK! To those new Virginia Swamp Monsters,
welcome to the family and thanks for helping
make our first appearance at Cattle Annie's one
incredible night! Very special thanks to the
owners & staff of Cattle Annie's and Mr. David

winning the award for "Best CD Cover" at last
night's Charlotte Music Awards in Charlotte,
North Carolina. The band & 3 Dreams Media were
in attendance for this prestigious event that
honors music & musicians from the Carolinas.
The members of SwampDaWamp were also invited to
present the Lifetime Achievement Award to The
Marshall Tucker Band, which was a thrill! What
a night! Way to go Swampers!!!!

Award To Marshall Tucker Band & Nominated For
Award
SwampDaWamp has been selected to present the
prestigious "Lifetime Achievement Award" to music
legends The Marshall Tucker Band at the upcoming
Charlotte Music Awards ceremony. "What a thrill
this is" said Gig Michaels, lead singer of
SwampDaWamp. "I was raised on MTB, what an
honor to pay homage to them", he added. In
addition, SwampDaWamp was thrilled to find out
they have also been nominated for the "Best CD
Cover" award. The awards ceremony to be held on
September 6th at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte,
North Carolina honors all aspects of music from

Lexington, North Carolina. This one day

people and has been selected as one of the Top
10 Food Festivals in the United States and is

Turns Food Lion Speed Street Into Swampland!
The Swampers electrified the crowd with
their high energy 90 minute performance at the
award winning Food Lion Speed Street in
Charlotte, NC. The band was honored to share
the Miller Beer / WRFX stage with 80s rockers
Loverboy. It was a magical moment and
an incredible rush for the band to hear the
crowd singing along with their songs! The
response from the crowd was overwhelming
especially when the band kicked off "Sunday
Southern Tradition". SwampDaWamp fans are the
wildest, craziest and most amazing fans in the
world! Welcome to all the new Swamp Monsters
who joined us Friday night! Many thanks to
everyone with Loverboy for allowing the band to

Rocks The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach!
SwampDaWamp was very honored to perform
on stage of one of the country's top concert
venues, HOUSE OF BLUES (Myrtle Beach) as the
support act for JACKYL. It was one incredible
night with a packed house all ready to rock!
The band had a blast with Jessie & all the guys
with Jackyl who made them feel right at
home. Many thanks Jessie & everyone with Jackyl
for again giving Swamp the opportunity to share
the stage with them. Special thanks to Jim,
Lance & Michele at HOB for giving the band this
incredible opportunity!
May 2007 :: The
Swamp Invades Myrtle Beach Bike Week
The Swampers rolled in to Myrtle Beach
Bike Week with a BANG! With back to back shows
throughout the week, one by one bikers were
converted to Swamp Monsters! To quote one rally
attendee, "This is the best band I've seen in
years, they ROCK!" It was also a great chance
for the band members to meet some of their fans
from all over the country who traveled to Bike
Week and also spend some time with their
longtime fans/friends from home. Thanks to all
the Swamp Monsters for making this such a great
time and many, many thanks to the great
folks who gave the band the opportunity to
perform in their venues, Johnny, Seth, Jim, you
guys are the absolute best!
